  • SanFrancisco CKGS: Can Visa and Renunciation be mailed in same envelope?

I filled out the forms for Visa and made payment $15 X 2 for FedEx shipping and return.

After that, the web site directed me to Renunciation, and I completed the renunciation forms.
At that point, it is again asking $15 X 2 for FedEx shipping and return, which seems ridiculous.

    1. Can I send the Visa and Renunciation in the same envelope?

I contacted CKGS repersentative over the phone and the answer was not clear. He mentioned that in the past it was allowed to send Visa+Renunciation together but now
the menu options have changed and "he think its better to send separately...". He also mentioned that Visa and Renunciation are handled by different departments (I assume at the same San Francisco Consulate).

If that is the case, it would seem reasonable to pay $15 for shipping Visa+Renunciation to CYGS and $15 X 2 for separate return packages of Visa and Renunciation.

Does anyone have recent experience with this situation?

I applied for visa+renunciation last year in Apr/May 2015. I sent the paperwork for both things in the same envelope and received it back in one envelope. I only paid $15 and shipper fees when I sent the packet.
