possible problems with travel to india on PIO

My daughter has US passport and valid PIO. We already applied for 'OCI in lieu of PIO'. We are travelling to India before our new OCI card arrives. I see from Houston consulate site that we can travel to india as long as we applied for 'OCI in lieu of PIO'.

a. Is this an official site that information can be trusted on?
b. Did anyone face any issues with travel to India on PIO?
c. Is email print out from CKGS a valid proof of 'OCI in lieu of PIO' application?


Interim travel to India until the issue of OCI card to existing valid PIO cardholders:

Until applicants are in receipt of an OCI card issued in lieu of PIO card, they could travel to India with their valid foreign passport, valid PIO card and CKGS receipt as proof of having applied for an OCI Registration document in lieu of PIO card.

Yes you can travel to India by pio card, not a metter of being applied in lieu of pio. pio card still a valid travel document, and custom have no sources to find out you have OCI pending or not.

I am in the same situation and may have to delay the application by not sending my passport off as I have another holiday booked. I am then off to India in between and don't think I will receive my OCI in time so the application will still be pending.

Please could you let me know if you have any issues when entering India on the current PIO?
