Indian passport renewal at SFO

Hi

I am wondering if I can use any service (USPS, UPS or Fedex) to send my documents to the BLS internatial services office at SFO.

I see that when I go to the document: https://blsivac.com/orderform/passport.php

and choose postal option, it automatically gives me a courier Pickup and dropoff service for the passport for 30$+something using UPS.

1. Is that the mandatory option? or can I use any other service as well?

2. What did you guys use?
