This post is to garner some ideas.
I am relocating for good to India in the middle of May. My OCI application (following my renunciation) was accepted in CKGS on the 9th of March. It was then sent to Delhi from SFO on the 16th of March. Since that day, I have been checking the status daily on the https://passport.gov.in/oci/statusEnqury site and it keeps saying that it is 'Under Progress'. As of today, this would be 41 calendar days and fewer business days.
When I look at other entries in the OCI tracker for SFO, it seems to wildly vary from people who had the OCI card printing done in 25 days to 40 odd days. I was wondering if anyone has had a similarly long experience with OCI through SFO and if they were able to speed up things in any way. It is a difficult option for me to keep waiting indefinitely like this without a clue on when the card will actually get printed.
