Reissue of passport - Indian Address proof

I am trying to renew my passport through CKGS site. I chose 'Change in address' as my passport has Indian address and like to change it to current US address.

CKGS ask me to provide either of these Indian address proof - Aadhar Card, Statement from Indian bank, Driver's license and latest utility bill. Problem is I have been in USA for years and don't have this proof.

Have anyone face similar situation and any idea how to go about it?

Hi,

Do you have a permanent residence in India, a family home?.. as this makes it a lot easier to apply with.

Alternatively, it might be worth applying for a new passport at the Indian mission or High commission close to where you live in the US as they may be more open and accepting of these type of applications.

I had to go through a similar issue. Thing is if you want to get US address printed on the passport then dont choose change in address on the first page. Instead there is an option on one of the later pages where they let you select which address to be printed on the passport. Select the USA address and provide them with a notarized lease or rental agreement.

Indian address proof notarizing issues

I too need to renew my Indian passport with my Indian address on it (no change in address)
however, I don't have option of Notarizing my Indian address proof document in the US since originals are in India.
Has anyone manage to renew the passport with similar situation.
