Is renunciation required to get eTV tourist visa ?

Hi All,

We need to make a urgent trip to India and we have applied for renunciation but it will take some time ( I mean its regular time)
Can we get eTV tourist visa if we still hold indian passport and haven't surrendered it. I mean didn't get renunciation certificate

I know for regular india visa, they need renunciation but not sure about eTV ?

I did not see that as a required document on the eTourist visa website. There is a phone# and e-mail address on the same website, so you can use that to contact them with that question.
