Indian passport renewal

Hi,

I have to renew my passport which is expiring soon. Currently, I'm residing in USA, and I' married, but my wife is in India. My question is
1. To notorize my marriage certificate, i don't have the original with me, it is in India.
2. To notorize my wife's passport, it is also in India, i just have only the copies.

Can notorization be done, without the originals for these 2 documents? Please help!
