OCI Vs Entry Visa for a new born baby whose parents are on L1 Visa from India

Hi Everyone,

I came to US on L1 visa and have a 3 months baby who is a US citizen. Now we are planning to go back to India.
But we were in dilemma whether we need to apply for OCI or Entry Visa for my baby. As OCI takes 2 months for processing and also it need renewal after 5 years, is it a right idea to opt an OCI.
I read in CKGS instructions that parents need to submit their passports for applying OCI for baby. Is it true?

I was looking for an option to take Entry Visa for my baby and applying for OCI in India.

Did anyone came across this situation? Please suggest the best possible option.

I am in a similar situation as you. Seems like eTV is an option but no clarity as to US minor child (of Indian citizen parents) are eligible or not. Can you please share the information you found.
