OCI address validity: Can I travel with OCI card/booklet having old address?

Hi,

Not sure if anyone has faced this question. My daughter is US citizen by birth. I am applying OCI for my 4 month infant daughter. But my address (City) will change after 6-8 months. If I need to travel to India after moving to new address with my infant having OCI with older address, should that be an issue at immigration? I did not received proper answer from CKGS or Consulate of NY.

Also, Is it mandatory to change address in OCI booklet every time you move.

Has anyone faced this situation. Please advise.

Technically I suppose you should update your OCI card for change in address. Practically however, there is no way that a passport/visa control official in India to find out what your current US address is.

I agree! No need to feed CKGS every time when you move or change jobs! The whole OCI reissue requirement is a big scandal. Somebody is making big money by exploiting NRIs.
