To further clarify- from my reading of the govt. of India website rules- she is eligible for OCI status based on the fact she is married to me AND that her parents are of Indian origin. Logistically it would make much more sense for us to apply based on her being my spouse- since getting her parents birth certificates, old indian passports etc.. would be near impossible.
My wife is of Indian Heritage born in the US. I was Indian citizen now US citizen. The CKGS website says the application can be done on account of her parents being Indians. It does not explicitly say she cannot apply as my spouse. Neither do anyother rules I have read. It would just be easier to apply as my spouse. any thoughts?
