What are the options for Tourist Visa while OCI is processing?

I plan to apply for OCI which is over 3 months processing time at San Francisco CKGS.

The eTourist visa has only 30 days validity. If I wish >30 days, what are my options?

Do I need to apply separately for Tourist Visa along with OCI?

Or can Consulate grant me a 3 month visa while OCI is processing?

The least complicated option in the case of over 30 days stay would be:
To get the Tourist visa (if it processes quicker than the OCI) to go to India
And when you come back, apply for the OCI (so you are here to submit the US PP or whatever else if needed, during the OCI process)
