Is it necessary to convert PIO to OCI?
MY wife(UK passport) and my kids(US passport) holds PIO card issued from NY. Is it necessary that we convert them to OCI or can we continue using PIO for good?

That is a very good question.
However, there is really no good precise answer.
Legally, it has been declared that all PIO card holders would be considered OCI card holders.
However, everyone has been interpreting it differently everywhere. Airport, Consulate, CKGS, public. There is no one good answer.Immihelp Support
