Minor US passport expiring and need to travel to India soon

My daughter's passport (is a US citizen) is expiring in 2 months but her dad is refusing to renew it. Can I go to india in the next week and be back in a week? Will I have issues at port of entry in India or not? My father is sick and his health has deteriorated as of last week. I'm worried that I may not be able to see him.

Daughter is US citizen, passport expiring in 2 months, have pio card. I'm more worried about transit and immigration in india, above all will the airline in the USA let me board the flight?


Additional context: I'm a single mom, left an abusive relationship last year (left home and moved in). Still have no applied for divorce. Postponed it as I do not have enough money saved for the attorneys.

India does not proscribe a minimum passport validity for entry, although for visa applicants they require 180 days remaining validity
