I became a US citizen in 2014/2015 and got my Indian visa for 10 years and surrendered my Indian passport. Now I was going to be traveling to India but I lost my passport which had the cancelled stamp and don't have the renunciation certificate...I was wondering is it necessary to carry Indian passport with cancelled stamp even though I was granted the Indian Visa. Also another question, will the consulate ask me for renunciation certificate/passport in the future when I apply for visa renewal?
