Question about Government of India OCI Form Part A
Hello all,
I am trying to help my mother fill out her OCI application but I seem to have run into a problem.
In part A, it asks for the applicant's address and spouse's name, and the CKGS website emphasizes that this information must match the information listed on the passport. However, my mother's spouse and address are different on her Indian passport than her current information (e.g., the Indian passport lists her previous spouse and address).
I contacted CKGS about this and they told me that she should copy the spouse's name listed on the Indian passport onto the Government of India's OCI form. This seems crazy to me, since this would have her list her (currently divorced) spouse on this form!
Would anyone happen to have any insight on this issue?
