Documents to upload in govt site for Minor OCI Application

i called to CKGS and they said just upload baby US passport, US Birth certificate(relationship cert), Parent's Indian passport for Indian Origin.
there is Marriage certificate option in it but Minor baby obviously is not married so they asked me to include parent's marriage certificate in mailing package along other docs to ship and do not upload marriage cert in govt. website. i have already sent application and now it is sent from CKGS to Indian Embassy in USA.

Is this information correct? i don't wanna see any problem from Indian Embassy in India about this upload. if anyone experienced any issue please post here. Thanks.

When I applied for my daughter recently I uploaded three sets of document.
1. Daughters passport

I didnt upload the marriage certificate or other documents as I assume that they are for when applying as spouse.

Since CKGS has sent the application to the embassy if there are any issues the embassy people will contact you. I totally understand the website and document list are not very clear. I would thank @Liberty48 for providing a good list of documentation required for the application on this forum.

I think they are checking over all documents whether uploaded or not but not in which category.

I have sent marriage certificate, our visa copies, address proof hard copies along with baby passport, birth certificate, our indian passports copies and all other oci docs in Mail(shipping). Now we can not upload any soft copies in indian govt. Website so just making sure these brainless people will not return/reject from india. CKGS verified and sent to embassy in USA. Waiting for baby passport return.


Do indian embassy/consulate ship hard copies of documents package to India? Then again people in India check all docs n uploaded docs again in India? Why don?t Indian Embassy/consulate in USA check all docs and take decision and then send application to India to just Print the OCI??


CKGS customer care told me to Upload following 3 docs in govt. Website For Minor Applicants and send rest of the hard copy documents in Package through mail(postal).

1. US passport - Kid USA passport
2. Relationship doc - Kid USA Birth certificate
3. Indian Origin - Parents (both) Indian passports (we r indian citizens on visa in usa)

I uploaded our marriage certificate along with the birth certificate as one document for relationship document. I didnt upload the marriage certificate under the "marriage certificate" option for uploading documents on the website.

First and last 4 pages enough to upload. but when they take hard copies at ckgs they just take kid usa first page with photo info page and first& last page of parents indian passport pages. They returned other blank pages with no info.

I uploaded following 3 docs in online for minor kid

1. Kid USA Passport

For Marriage Certificate Category Instructions in Govt. website to Upload - It clearly saying " Uploading of marriage certificate is applicable only for spouse based OCI applicants". so for Minor, we do not need to upload parents marriage certificate for OCI application. we can submit along physical documents.

I am just starting my daughter OCI application.
on website we need to upload the supported document.

do we need to notaries this documents then upload and send same copies ?.
or completed the online forms with documents then when we send in mail do the notary?.

please let me know.
