birth certificate apostille for OCI

Hi,

I am in the process of applying OCI card for my kids born in US. On the CKGS checklist, under birth certificate, it is mentioned that for those born outside India, the birth certificate needs to be apostilled. Can anyone confirm this and if yes, then where do I go to get the birth certificate apostilled?

If you are looking at an official document produced by the Indian government and it's saying that the Birth Certificate needs to be apostilled, it is highly suggested that you have it done.
