Indian Visa/OCI for my Baby- Need Suggestions and Information
Hi,
I am currently on H1B Visa, this is my 5th year in US and I am due to max out by April, 2019. Meanwhile, my spouse who is on dependent H4 Visa is pregnant and her delivery due date is 1st week of November, 2018.
Please suggest whether we can process OCI for our New Born within 4 months or is it best for process Entry Visa for 5 years. In that case, can we apply for OCI once we are back in India?
Also, I heard that Indian Consulate checks whether both parents have at least 6 months of valid US Visa for processing kid's Indian Visa. Is it true? In my case I will have just 4 months of US Visa validity left while applying for Indian Visa for my baby. Please suggest with best option and let us know if someone has more information on this!!
