Hello All,
My son was born in US last year (2017) and travelled to India on tourist VISA in March 2018, when he was about an year. I have not applied for OCI as we were planning to come back to US in a 6 months time. Due to some circumstances, he cannot travel back to US. The tourist VISA allows only 6 months or 180 days of stay at the maximum in a single entry. OCI application will take 4-5 months . What are my options or process to extend his stay beyond 180 days in India. Thank you in advance for the inputs. I am not able to find any information on India Visa Website. I heard about some new rule from my friends where the new born can stay beyond 6 months, but unable to find any documentation for the same. Appreciate any inputs if one faced the same situation
