Hi all,
I am born in United Kingdom, my mother was born in Tanzania and my father was born in Kenya. My fathers father (my grandfather) was born in Porbandar, Gujarat, India and moved to Kenya then later to UK.
I am trying to apply for OCI card based on my Grandfathers Indian Origin, but I have no documents to prove lineage. I have my birth certificate my parents birth certificates and marriage certificate, however nothing official to say my Grandfather was born in India. The only thing I have got is a British Death certificate for my grandfather to say he was born in India, which is not proof of Indian Origin.
What can be done to obtain official documents to prove my grandfather was born in India so that i can get OCI? Are there archives or agencies in India that can help?
