OCI on basis of grandparent - name discrepancy question

Hello,

My grandmother has an Indian passport, and I plan on applying for an OCI card through her. However her name on her passport is different from the her name as listed on my mother's birth certificate. My understanding is that this will cause problems when proving linkage.

Is there some kind of document I could get notarized that affirms that the person listed on my mother's birth certificate is the same as my grandmother's passport?

Does anyone have any experience with this.
