PIO Card Validity

I believe I have a machine-readable PIO card (bottom side of main page containing my picture has <<<< . >>>>>>> notations). Can someone confirm or suggest if this is indeed machine readable or post an example of what a handwritten PIO card looks like?

I'm traveling to India in a couple of weeks and based on an online search, it appears that machine readable PIO cards are valid and accepted for entry/exit in India until March 2019. Can someone confirm this as well?
