OCI for US born child of Indian parents

Hi

Me and my wife are Indian citizen. Our child is going to born in USA. Will our child eligible for OCI if my child is having US passport? Or do I need to first apply for Indian Passport then cancel that and apply for US passport and then apply for OCI?

Please advice.

No. You directly apply for US passport first then OCI card.
