I am looking to apply for PIO card. My husband is Indian.

I am confused about which passports you need in origional and which you just need notarized copies of. We will be sending the forms to the San Francisco office.

documentation of current us address: do you want his driver's license or mine or both?

does our marriage license need to be notarized?

thank you for your time and help.

The website actually is what i've been reading and getting confused from. Please confirm on the Process: it would help me out a lot if you could address these confusing points:
4.Notarized copies of first two and last two pages of foreign (MY HUSBAND'S OR MINE) passport.

      5. Notarized copeis of first three and last three pages of Indian passport.

      MY HUSBAND'S

      6. Those applying as spouses of persons of Indian original must submit original indian passport (THE REAL THING OR THE COPIES SEE #4 AND #5) and the original marriage certificate (AGAIN THE ORIGINAL OR A NOTARIZED COPY?)

      8. photocopy of 2 documents as a proof of current us address (MINE OR MY HUSBANDS) driver's license etc...

      9. I'm assuming you want MY birthcertificate notarized since I'm the applicant. correct? If applicant is born abroad, notarized copy of birth certificate.

      thank you

        9. Yes.

In other words, all the documents should be yours except
        * Marriage certificate - Joint between you and your husband
        * Proof that your husband is of Indian origin and thus copy of his passport.

          Thank you for clarification.

My husband is asking if I don't have PIO card will I have to register at the police dept while staying in our house in India? IF I DO have the PIO card do I need to register?

My wife and I are in a similar situation and her PIO card application got rejected apparently because of the lack of the one year duration of marriage. Did you obtain your card? If not, what additional documentation did they request?
