Hello,

I have a problem. I have american passport. It recently expired so i renewed it and i got a new passport. Only problem is my indian visa stam is glued to the one of the pages of the old passport, its valid until year 2013. Can i travel with both passports to india? i won't have a problem right? I am trying to contact the indian embassy here in new york but they are not replying. Please reply to me as soon as possible.

You can pay $25 to Indian consulate and get visa transferred to new passport.

I have been to UK in the year 2001 for a short visit,I came back to india after 2 months,recently I have lost my passport and I applied for a new passport and submitted all the relevant documents like lost passport copy,police certificate etc,to the passport office.
I got new passport ,by mistake from the passport officials i got brand new passport,there are no details of my lost passport like passport number ,file number,and no proof of UK travelled,rest is same like Name ,address,Date of birth.
My question is can I apply for a student visa to UK on this brand new passport.

Apply with the new passport. Details of your previous visit (matched with your name) will be in their computer database anyway, so it does not matter if these details are not given in your new passport. Answer all questions truthfully.
