  • India visa question

    Hi

I am trying to get Indian visa for the first time on my US passport.
The indian consulate SFO website says that I need to fillup a
    renunciation form and it says

"The second page of the form needs to be filled out and signed by anyone other than the applicant and then it needs to be notarized."

But I read somewhere on the internet that we don't need to fillup this
    form at all.

Does anybody know, how exactly should I fillup this form??
Can I just fill it and send it or do I need to get it filled by somebody else
    and notarize it??

    Thanks
    Srinivas

Not sure, but mostly not required ...

I am not 100% sure but don't think such a form is required. I know quite a few people who got their Indian visitor visas from CGI on the same day, in NYC, SFO and Chicago. They've not filled anything except the visa application form.

    Take care,
