Travelling to India

Hi,

I am in a particular situation where my wife has to travel to India soon.
She is in H4 status (extension of H4 approved and valid till 2009 March). But the visa stamped on her passport is expired. She appllied for the greencard and got the EAD but the Advance Parole is not yet received. It is expected to be approved by Feb end as the Nebraska service center is processing late.

Can she travel out of US with her valid H4 status without getting the approved AD ? Once the AD is approved, can she get back into US with her EAD/AD status ? ( I am planning to take the AD with me to India in March and come back together).

Does this affect our Greencard processing?

Also with this status can she transit thru Germany with these status as mentioned above?
