Query on PIO/OCI card

I have recently got UK PERMANENT RESIDENCY.

I have a 3yr old son who is born in UK. I wish to apply for UK CITIZENSHIP for him as he is eligible for that.

Could you let me know which card - PIO/OCI is applicable for him

Do I need to apply for the relevant card after I get the UK CITIZENSHIP as I want to hold dual citizenship for my son? At present we all hold INDIAN PASSPORT

Your answers would be of great help for my queries above

You can only apply for PIO card for your son. New

You can apply for PIO only when you are a citizen of some other country, other than India.

If your son is still Indian citizen, it does not make any sense to apply for PIO as he is not eligible
