loss of passport

Dear Sir

I had my Indian Passport which had been lost on transit while shifting my house , Unfortunately i did not had any xerox copies of the passport for my records .

Kindly suggest me as to what should be my course of action so as to stop misutalisation of the same and issuance of a fresf passport .

You need to file a police report regarding the loss of passport and get a new one.

This is in reference to my lost passport , today I had applied for my passport post all the necessary formalties. They had charged me Rs 2500/- which has also been paid respectively .

I am in requirement of my passport at the eariest ( within 10days) , how do i go about this ?
