Tracking OCI Status without Reference No

Unfortunately, before mailing the OCI application form to the consulate in NY, I forgot to note down the computer generated Reference Number. Emails/phone calls to the consulate to obtain the reference number have been ignored. Is there any way to find out the reference number and/or the status using the applicant's name or other details.

Call New Delhi ...

... CGI in US will not have much information and they will be least helpful.

You need that number to know when to send the PP for stamping and collect the OCI card.

Call up the Home Ministry's office which works on the OCI processing or ask someone in ND to call them up directly.

Tracking OCI Without Reference

Did you have any luck finding the online registration number? We have done similar mistake and the Indian consulate of Houston is no help at all. We have left vmails, emails, also talked to a person there but they have been least helpful.
