  • Baby's fingerprint for PIO card application

    Hi,

My daughter is 9 months old and we can't get a good fingerprint of her tiny little thumb. Every time we try to take one it comes out like a patch of ink or like a smear because the ridge lines are not deep enough.

Just wondering how others do it. Please share any tips that you might have.

    thanks,
    Sam

I had the same situation like you. We have 1 yr old daughter. I just took the fingerprint of whichever finger they mentioned and sent. There was no problem. We got the PIO card in 3 weeks from NY consulate.

I took my infant baby to Bank Of America. The Bank staff helped me with the finger prints. We cannot expect it to be very dark and visible as it normally will be . I somehow managed it.

        Re: Child's Fingerprints

My daughter is 4 months old. I bought a stamp-pad from Staples and took her thumb impression, both hands. It wasn't a big deal. We got the PIO card in 3 weeks.

        Hope it helps.
