Hi,
I have a 1.9 years old Daughter and she is staying with me in India Banglaore, she arrived with her mother on a Tourist 10 Year multiple entry visa, the mother my wife is on a Employment visa. According to the rules I need to ensure that my daughter leaves the country in 180 days, which is a problem, thus have decided to apply for the PIO Card status in India. However I find very little information on the MHA website. I have the following questions can someone answer this for me please.
1. Since Im from Bangalore, I am assuming that I need to mail all the documents to Joint Secretary (Foreigners), Ministry of Home Affairs, Jaisalmer House, 26, Man Singh Road, New Delhi – 110011, is this True?
2. Do I have to send in my Daughters American Passport?
3. How do I send the documents do I send it via Registered Post or Courier?
4. Apart from my Passport Copy (Photocopy) do I need to send in anything else ?
5. Do I need to get my Passport copy notarized?
6. How long will this procedure take to complete?
7. If we need to go outside the country during this period how do I obtain the passport.
