PIO card restrictions

Hi,

My son is 2 years old and is currently staying in India. He is an American citizen having a PIO card. His 6 month visit is over and he would like to entend his stay for another 6 months.

Where and how can he entend his stay? Currently, he is staying in Hyderabad. His stay is over 30 day limit(after 180 days), can he still apply for entension by registering in the commisionarate office?

Your advice in this regards would be appreciated.

He can stay beyond 180 days.
