  • Having Indian passport and US birth certificate

    Hi

I know this topic has been discussed thoroughly. But my question is this:
we take Indian passport for US born child and decide to stay in India forever and not to travel to US ever again in the next 18 years. Keeping Indian passport is a matter of pride in itself. However, will it be sufficient when it comes to education fees in India? Will not the acquisition of a US birth certificate automatically categorise the child as a foreigner/NRI and thus require the schools/colleges to demand higher fees? I have a newborn US baby and I am weighing the pros and cons of taking US passport vis-a-vis Indian passport. Thanks in advance for your timely advice.
