    Valid Visa on Expired Passport

    Hey Everyone,

    I recently got my son's passport renewed (He is Canadian citizen). His old passport contains a valid visa for India. The visa is valid till Sep 2009.

    Can I take him to India and show his old passport which contains the valid visa at entry to India? Or I need to get the visa transferred from old passport to new passport??

    Only ...

    ... the old passport will be cancelled, but the visas in the passport are valid till their individual expiry dates.
