Minor Indian Citizenship Status - URGENT
Hi,
We live in Singapore and have two boys aged 14 and 5 years. All of us hold Indian Passport now.
I and my wife got Singapore Citizenship approval. (My children still hold Indian Passport). When I was reading procedure to renounce Indian Citizenship, I came across clause which says
"Where a person ceases to be a citizen of India every minor child of that person shall thereupon cease to be a citizen of India, provided that any such child may, within one year after attaining full age, make a declaration that he wishes to resume Indian citizenship and shall thereupon again become a citizen of India."
Does this mean that my children will loose Indian Citizenship if both father & mother renounce Indian Citizenship.
