OCI Card

My questions are:

1. How long does it take to get OCI card if I apply now? I am planning on going to New Delhi, India in the last week of June 2009 and I am a US citizen. I have applied for US passport. I am expecting to get it next week.

2. Can I get tourist visa and visit India after applying for OCI card? If the process takes few months and if it is not possible to get OCI card before June, can I still visit India after applying? Or do I have to stay in US until I get OCI?

3. My son, who is 13 ys old is a US citizen by birth. I and my ex husband has joint custody for my son. Do I need to take permission from my ex husband if I have to apply for OCI card for my son, or, can I just apply for OCI for him. Do I need to submit custody paperwork or do you need any written consent from my ex husband?

I'll appreciate if you could please provide a detailed answer to my questions.

1. It really depends upon the consulate. But you don't have enough time. Apply for visa and OCI, both.
