OCI Docs received @ NY

Hi,

I have applied for OCI card in NY and today I checked the status online. Its saying that the Docs received @ NY .

What is the next step? Can I mail my foreign passport to get the OCI stamp? Please let me know the procedure.

Acknowledgement slip ???

Thanks for the reply. But the link says I should send the Acknowledgement slip sent by consulate. I didn't receive any acknowledgement slip from consulate. Please clarify?

If you have not been sent that, don't have to send it. Some consulates don't send it.
