Hi,
I am a UK born and bred citizen, my deceased mother was born in Madhya Pradesh in 1918.
I am considering applying for eith OCI or PIO status and I have my mothers UK death certificate stating her place of birth was India,I also have written confirmation from the UK passport agency confirming details from my mothers expired UK passport stating her place of birth was MP India.
Could you advise me if these supporting details would be sufficient to allow to gain either PIO or OCI status, and if so which of the 2 status would be more easily to attain here in the UK ?
I also at present hold an Indian 2 year business visa for a registered company I have in India this is due to expire shortly so hence my thoughts on OCI /PIO application.
