  • US or India

    Hi All,

I have been in US since 2007 on H1 and my wife on H4. We are expecting a Baby this november 2009.

We are kind of confused in choosing the citizenship for the kid. We are not the citizens of US. We hold Indian citizenship. If we decide to have the baby here in US, The baby would become the citizen of This Country.

Following are my questions? Please provide me some information based on the facts.

    1. Do i have to apply for PIO before i go back to india?
    2. How long is the PIO valid and what is the renewal Process?
3.What about the school as well as college fees to the kid, who's a US citizen? Is or she will be treated as equal as indian kids? I heard someone saying this and i am not sure if this is true.
4.Can he or she renounce US citizenship at the age of 18 and become an Indian citizen?

What are the other Pros and Cons?

    Please provide as much details.

    Thanks for reading.
