Hi,
My passport expires in October and I am planning to get it renewed at the Indian consulate, Chicago. I do have a state identification card with my current address but I understand that two documents are needed to prove residence. I only have AT&T wireless bills and no other utility bills/receipts in my name. I don't have a lease deed either. Would I be able to take my wireless bill and also my bank statements and my paystubs that have my current address as the second document to prove residence?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, my permanent address in India has changed. Would I need to just fill out the new address in the online application form or do i need to submit the miscellanous services form along with the fee to get the new address printed in my new passport.
I am also newly married and would like to get my spouse's name included in my new passport. Does it entail a whole new procedure as well?
I am planning to go the consulate in Chicago in person.
Thanks for your time and patience.
Sincerely
