PIO card correction

I got a PIO card for my son last week. I noticed that a letter is missing in the middle name of the "FATHERS NAME". It is too minor to notice.
Do I need to get this changed before we travel to India?
If so, can I just go to the Embassy and get it corrected? Or is it too risky as we are travelling soon?

When did you apply for pio ? you applied in Person or by mail ? how many days it took to get it ? you picked up PIO card from embassy ?
