OCI application: Questions

We(myself,wife and kid) live in Dallas and are applying for OCI at the Houston consulate and have the following questions.

- Photos : We got the standard passport photos done at CVS which seem to have a white background. Will those be ok ? In some of the photo instructions it explicitly says "light color background(not white)
If those arent ok, is there any other places where they can use a different color background ?
".

- Application form : Need help answering the following questions -

"Does the country of applicant(s) permit dual citizenship in some form or the other? Yes/No.
If No, give specific details" - what should be the answer for US ?

- Fees Can I enclose one cashier's check for 275*3 + 20$ or does it have to be separate cheques ?

- enclosing documents Do the copies of the documents(Indian Passport/Birth certificate) need to be notarized ?

- Photos :
If you have a digital camera take the pics with light back ground and print it at CVS - Kodak print kiosk - it has a option to print passport size pics

- "Does the country of applicant(s) permit dual citizenship.......
YES - if you are a US citizen

- Fees Can I enclose one cashier's check for 275*3 + 20$.......
YES - I enclosed 2 CC - one for the family, and one $20 for postage

- enclosing documents Do the copies of the documents(Indian Passport/Birth certificate) need to be notarized ?
Write and Sign on the bottom of each photo copy
"This is a true copy of the original" and sign the document
