Am I eligible for OCI?

Hi,
I am confused. I read eligibility requirements on the Indian Consulate Website but still I have few questions. I am US citizen & I never had Indian passport. I am Indian origin US citizen & I also go to India every one or 2 years. My wife will be US citizen in 6 or 8 months but she has Indian passport so she is eligible for OCI but I wanted to know If we can apply together for OCI.

Was your father or mother Indian citizen at some time? What about your grand parents? What about your great grand parents? Were any of them Indian citizen?

If so, you can apply.

Hi Thanks for your reply. Its relief now. Yes my parents & grand parents are Indian citizens. I think now I can apply for OCI.
