    Hi,

My son was born in the US and we applied for both Indian Visa and PIO card.
We got the Indian visa earlier and he entered India on the visa when he was 3months old. We now have his PIO card also.

    1) Do we need to register him anywhere, since he was only 3months when he entered India?
    2) Once the visa expires next month, will the PIO card still be valid?

    Please guide me.

    Thanks.

    1) No registration required for children under 16.

    2) Should be OK assuming that you have the PIO card in your possession when leaving India, but am not certain. The PIO card is not stamped when entering or leaving, but I don't know if the type of visa you entered the country on is noted in the electronic record when the passport is scanned.

      Thanks for your prompt reply.
But, since he has the PIO card, can he continue to stay in India after the expiry of the visa?
