OCI Card Eligibility

My kids are US citizens and we are going for vacation to India. Is it better to apply CIO card as my son may stay in India for more than 6 months? Also why does it say not eligible in the tabular form.

If both the parents are Indian origin are not eleigible then who is eligible for OCI card? Please clarify.

Indian origin is different than Indian citizens.

If both parents are Indian citizens, kids are not eligible for OCI card.

If one or both parents are of Indian origin but not Indian citizen, kids are eligible for OCI card.
