I recently became a US citizen (Indian origin) and acquired US passport. Now I want to apply for an OCI card (only for myself).
I got divorced 2 years ago and remarried last year. My current wife is a Bangladeshi (I know she is not eligible for OCI). We married in Bangladesh and I am processing for her Green Card in US. She visited India three times after our marriage when she put my name as her spouse while obtaining visa.
Now the Indian consulate wants copy of the first page and last page of my Indian passport where it still has the name of my ex-wife. Do I need to notify the consulate about this change or I just go ahead submit the copies as they requested. I did not see any field in the OCI form where I can put name of my current wife.
I heard they will issue a "U" visa and an OCI "card". What is written in the OCI 'card' anyway? Does it show spouse's information?
Please let me know if this is going to be an issue in future. She is a frequent visitor to India and an PR applicant for USA. Thanks a bunch for your help!
