PIO vs OCI card

Hi,

I came across your website where you compare OCI and PIO cards. I am puzzled that you mention in the fourth row that Foreign born children of both Indian parents are not eligible for OCI card but are eligible for PIO card. I have seen several posts online that mention converting a PIO to an OCI and so on. Are these for people who are eligible for both can you please clarify? Also, could you give me an idea realistically of what are the processing times for PIO and OCI in the UK as well as in India?

That is true. If both parents are Indian citizens, their foreign born children can not apply for OCI.
