Hello,
My current passport has a small clerical mistake on my middle initial expansion, one letter repeated, that is now carried forward to my SSN and wife’s passport (spouse name) and most of the other documents middle initial is been used. Now my Indian passport is due for renewal, so I would like to use this as an opportunity to correct it.
My question is, can I fill the application form with the corrected name (remove extra letter) and ignore the change of name affidavit?
Or should I tell the officer about this issue while submitting the documents in the consulate?
Please suggest your opinion? Since this is a small change on middle name, can I go ahead and assume that they understand it, not required any additional document.
