PIO card delay @ NY embassy

I applied for a PIO card for my daughter >2 weeks ago and have still not received it. The website says that the processing time is 4 working days. Now my travel date is approaching, hence I'm planning a trip to NY to collect her passport in person. Also all my phone calls to the embassy just go an answering machine.
Really poor customer service and unprofessional attitude.
Looks like they dont care about the Indians here.

It's not personal -- they don't care about the non-Indians either.

Btw, did you send in your daughter's original passport? The website says not to send original documents unless requested. I got my PIO from Houston last year using a notarized copy of my passport.

Anyhow, good luck with the trip to NY...
